Meet Aleah, Holistic Trauma Therapist in San Diego

Holistic-trauma-therapist-San-Diego

Hi, I’m Aleah Maas, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Holistic Flow Therapy.
I help individuals and couples across California heal from trauma, anxiety, and attachment wounds—so they can feel grounded, connected, and empowered in their lives and relationships.

My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and deeply relational. I blend EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic tools, attachment theory, and nervous system awareness to help clients move through old patterns and build meaningful, lasting change.

How I Work

At the heart of my work is this belief: you are not broken. Your anxiety, disconnection, and emotional reactivity are not personal flaws—they are protective responses from a nervous system shaped by your past.

My role is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we explore those patterns at their root. Together, we’ll work to:

  • Understand the connection between past trauma and present struggles

  • Honor and soften protective parts (like overachieving, people-pleasing, or avoidance)

  • Heal attachment wounds and relational pain

  • Build internal trust, emotional safety, and deeper self-connection

Viewing health holistically means understanding how mental and emotional challenges are intertwined with other areas of life—physical health, relational dynamics, and the core beliefs that guide us. By addressing these interconnected areas, we lay the foundation for meaningful, lasting change.

Many of my clients grew up in toxic or dysfunctional families, leaving them feeling unsafe in relationships and disconnected from themselves. These early experiences often create barriers to love and connection in adulthood, perpetuating patterns of fear, avoidance, or insecurity. My work focuses on helping clients heal from these past wounds, rebuild trust in themselves and others, and cultivate the fulfilling, supportive relationships they deserve.

Therapy should be about more than just coping—it should be about transforming your life by addressing the root causes of pain and embracing a balanced, integrated approach to healing. Together, we’ll work toward creating the love, connection, and well-being you deserve.

Why Holistic Flow Therapy?

I believe healing happens when we address the whole person—not just mental health symptoms, but the deeper interplay between your mind, body, relationships, and beliefs.

Many of my clients grew up in environments that felt unsafe or emotionally chaotic. This often creates adult patterns of fear, shame, hyper-independence, or difficulty with intimacy. Through gentle, integrative therapy, we can break these cycles—and help you feel more secure, connected, and alive.

My Background

I’ve been working in trauma-focused therapy since 2016. I hold advanced training in EMDR, IFS-informed therapy, and attachment work, alongside a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training that informs my somatic and mindfulness-based lens.

This combination allows me to support clients through a nervous-system-centered, mind-body approach that goes far beyond traditional talk therapy.

If You’re Feeling Stuck or Disconnected, You’re Not Alone

Whether you’ve done therapy before or this is your first step, I’m here to walk alongside you. We’ll move at your pace, with intention and care, toward the clarity, connection, and self-trust you deserve.
